Sugarshock (2009) – Review

Sugarshock is very funny, completely random and just plain fun. The characters exist perfectly in their world and within the story (especially Dandelion). It is best to approach this story with no information, fresh to experience it. Joss Whedon forges on with another wonderfully written script ripe with humor, drama and witty absurdity that makes his stuff a joy to read (and watch). Fabio Moon’s art captures the spirit of the characters and story well, while also infusing style into the piece. With such great characters, hopefully Whedon and Moon will again venture into the world of Sugarshock. 8/10
The one-shot comic first appeared as part of the online anthology MySpace Dark Horse Presents
